I definitely want to get to map 2 now that I know it has more new textures. I didn't have enough PP and he's a small, flying and fast hit box so it's easy to waste your resources. As for the final boss Fassad, I was not able to beat it in the video because it really wasn't clear. The level layout for map 1 can be a bit confusing sometimes as it is huge and has a lot of hit switch that opens something somewhere else, and its not clear so I had to pause the video a few times. Also, interesting use of pokemon sprites, haha. ![]() Not sure if you want to make those bigger and/or slower, reminds me a bit too much of Daikatana, lol. Some of the very small fast moving enemies are a real pain to hit, like those flies. You do hint that you should run but I still wasn't sure. The chimera was a bit confusing as I wasn't sure if I could damage it, maybe playing earthbound makes this more obvious. I wouldn't expect you to make an earthbound custom texture for everything, but I wonder if that's what you intend in the future, as it would obviously elevate it even further. As for map 1, I was actually surprised that it used a lot of vanilla doom textures, I guess the tutorial made me expect it to be all custom but considering how big the level is, I think it's still great. ![]() There are a lot of pickups around for health/PSI which is great. As for some constructive criticism, the text does scroll a bit too quickly, I guess you can read it fast but I couldn't read it fast enough in the video a lot of the time, for cutscenes especially. I think you translated a lot of things over to doom well, the hud, the abilities and combat and such. So there will be a lot of feedback in the video obviously, but I figured I would give you some headlines here.
